【摘要】:Itisimportanttomonitortheanionconcentrationsandanioncontaminantsinelectrocoatbaths.Wetchemicalmethodsarelong,tedious,andofquestionableaccuracyintheppmrange.Ionchromatographyoffersafast,convenientandaccuratealternative.SinceICanalysisofelectrocoatbathsamplesisdifficult,thepermeatesareoftenanalyzedforcontaminants.Thisguideaddressessomeimportantconsiderationsforsuchanalyses.1.1Thisguideisusedforthedeterminationofnitrateanioninelectrocoatbathpermeatebyuseofchemicallysuppressedandnon-suppressedionchromatography(IC).1.2Otheranions,withtheexceptionofphosphate,maybedeterminedinelectrocoatbathpermeatesbyuseofthisguide.1.3Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisguidetoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
