【摘要】:Replicationisanondestructivesamplingprocedurethatrecordsandpreservesthetopographyofametallographicallypreparedsurfaceasanegativereliefonaplasticfilm(replica).ThereplicapermitstheexaminationandanalysisofthemetallographicallypreparedsurfaceontheLMorSEM.Enhancementproceduresforimprovingreplicacontrastformicroscopicexaminationareutilizedandsometimesnecessary(see8.1).Note18212;ItisrecommendedthatthepurchaserofafieldreplicationservicespecifythateachreplicatordemonstrateproficiencybyprovidingfieldpreparedreplicametallographyanddirectLMandSEMcomparisontolaboratorypreparedsamplesofanidenticalmaterialbygradeandserviceexposure.1.1Thispracticecoversrecognizedmethodsforthepreparationandevaluationofcelluloseacetateorplasticfilmreplicaswhichhavebeenobtainedfrommetallographicallypreparedsurfaces.ItisdesignedfortheevaluationofreplicastoensurethatallsignificantfeaturesofametallographicallypreparedsurfacehavebeenduplicatedandpreservedonthereplicawithsufficientdetailtopermitbothLMandSEMexaminationwithoptimumresolutionandsensitivity.1.2Thispracticemaybeusedasacontrollingdocumentincommercialsituations.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Inch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
