【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletotheevaluationofasubstrate'sresistancetoabsorptionofaselectedseriesofliquidhydrocarbonsofdifferentsurfacetensions.ThisInternationalStandardisintendedtoprovideaguidetooilstainresistance.Itcanprovidearoughindexofoilstainresistanceas,generally,thehighertheoilrepellencygrade,thebetterresistancetostainingbyoilymaterials,especiallyliquidoilsubstances.Thisisparticularlytruewhencomparingvariousfinishesforagivensubstrate.ThisInternationalStandardcanalsobeutilizedindeterminingifwashingand/ordrycleaningtreatmentshaveanyadverseeffectontheoilrepellencycharacteristicsofasubstrate.ThisInternationalStandardisnotintendedtogiveanabsolutemeasureoftheresistanceofthesubstratetostainingbyalloilymaterials.Otherfactors,suchascompositionandviscosityoftheoilysubstances,substrateconstruction,fibretype,dyesandotherfinishingagents,alsoinfluencestainresistance.ThisInternationalStandardisnotintendedtoestimatetheresistancetopenetrationofthesubstratebyoil-basedchemicals.
